This progress update is a bit earlier than normal, but for good reason.
Roadblock
The previously mentioned roadblock which GoZen was facing has mostly disappeared. I found some code snippets which will help me in making the dynamic video frame seeker. The audio will still be loaded into memory for now unless I find that the frame seeking for audio frames is fluent enough (probably not but let’s see).
For audio the best option will be to look ahead and look back 3-5 seconds in the timeline and load the entire audio into memory. Another solution for the audio would be to just save the audio into actual files and put them into a cache folder.
Alpha delay?
At this moment I think that I can still make the first set alpha deadline of the first week in February. No promises though and as I mentioned in the GoZen Alpha Testing channel, the first week will be compatibility fixing anyway so people can actually open up GoZen without crashing.
If delays were to happen: Alpha would be postponed to the end of February. I don’t like to admit it, but that chance of postponing is likely as my time is limited and the amount of work giant.
Blog?
I mentioned at the end of last year that I was working on a blog to upload these progress reports on. This has been slowly worked on and I am close to actually finishing the first version of this.
Not using WordPress as I first thought I would, instead I’m making my own website builder with Python, I’ll publish the code later but good luck trying to use it as I make it specifically for me to not waste too much time by making it very compatible for multiple projects. XD

I’ll start making weekly devlogs that will go hand in hand with these progress reports in an attempt to keep uploading videos weekly on my channel, so stay tuned for those. 😉
