Day 26: No zero days November – 2023

I want to post on time but I will still work for around 30 minutes to an hour on this :p

What I figure out

So I tried converting the frame with swr to the correct byte format …. yeah did not work. But I did find a way to print ffmpeg related errors!!! FINALLY hahaha
This does not always work sadly enough and can only print an error if the function actually managed to run and give a result. ^^”

Audio is hell

If Godot would support 16 bit audio, this wouldn’t have been a problem. Because they don’t, I have more work and importing video files will take longer as well. If my knowledge of audio files wasn’t so bad I could work on implementing 16 bit audio inside of Godot … but that is beyond my current knowledge.

Converting data did not work, and converting the frame to the new format also didn’t. Not really certain what my next options are except for figuring out why. The error which got returned just says Input changed

Conclusion

Only 4 day’s left after today. I forgot the goals of having started on the timeline, I just want to get this over with and get the audio working at this point hahaha.

After No zero days November, I’ll probably take a small break of just a couple of days, touch some grass, see a movie, sit in the dark closet to reflect on why this ffmpeg stuff is such a struggle … I was joking about 1 of those things. :p
